My paintings dwell in the threshold where atmosphere meets earth—air and water colliding, land and sea converging, and clouds merging with land. Emphasizing ephemeral phenomena, glimpses are frozen in time and movement is held in suspension through the materiality of paint: opacity, transparency, and texture. Light, color, and form dissolve and coalesce, distilling fleeting experiences into palpable presence. In contrast to my video work, which engages time as a fluid medium, painting becomes a site of stillness—where presence is made tangible through form.
