My paintings dwell in the threshold where atmosphere meets earth—air and water colliding, land and sea converging, and clouds merging with land. Emphasizing ephemeral phenomena, a glimpse is frozen in time and movement is held in suspension through the materiality of paint: opacity, transparency, and texture. Light, color, and form dissolve and coalesce, distilling fleeting experiences into palpable presence. In contrast to my video work, which engages time as a fluid medium, painting becomes a site of stillness—where presence is made tangible through form.
